My Focus
ANXIETY.
Sometime we feel stuck in the same loop, thinking about the same things, making the same decisions. Have you struggled to sleep at night or get things done because you’re ruminating about a thought or situation? Do you struggle to make decisions or constantly worry about making the right one? Not sure how to address a conflict? It’s not just you and you don’t have to feel this way. I can support you in learning effective coping skills, how to challenge your thoughts, and change your thinking patterns in the space of therapy.
BODY IMAGE.
Have you ever declined an invitation or turned down an activity because of fears of how your body looked? Is your self-talk around your body negative? Is it difficult feel or listen to the signs your body is giving you? Do you constantly compare yourself to others? We all desire healthy relationships both with others and ourselves. The relationship we have with our bodies can be complicated. Media, the diet industry, previous experiences, and our own thoughts about our body can impact our self image and intimacy with others. Through therapy, acceptance and peace within our bodies can grow and be nurtured to help you live your fullest life.
DISORDERED EATING.
Are you tired of obsessing about food and your body? Do you struggle with restricting, binging, purging, or over-exercising? Disordered eating is far more common than people often think and impacts people of all body sizes. In therapy, we will uncover the function of your disordered eating and work toward more self-affirming coping strategies to help you live a life that is free from obsessing about food and body shame.
RELATIONSHIPS.
Have you ever desired to get close to someone but couldn’t? Have you given your all to someone only to be hurt and disappointed in return? Do you question every move you make while you date? You’re not alone. As individuals, we intrinsically seek connection. Whether it be family, friends, dating, or partners - sometimes we all need a little help with boundaries, communication, intimacy, anxiety, codependency, and attachment issues, just to name a few. I join with clients to help build self-awareness, communication, and connection to create secure and trusting relationships.
INTIMACY.
Do you struggle feeling connected or satisfied by your partners or self? Do you want to feel a greater connection? Have you felt shame about your sex life or desires? There are many factors that can impact intimacy and sex with ourselves and others - uncertainty, emotional or physical connectedness, fear, communication, knowledge, or trauma. I work to provide a safe and supportive space for you to process, learn, heal, and take steps to feel empowered and secure.
